FICTION: EWA (Beauty) — Episode 1

 Several years back, in the village of Alagbagba, there was a beautiful young girl by the name Ewawumi fondly called "Ewa" for short meaning beauty. Ewa, one of the most beautiful intelligent and hard-working girls in the village of Alagbagba.Ewa 18 years of age, a beauty to behold she lived with her parents in the village of Alagbagba they were famous and they were fondly called baba and mama Ewa.Ewa schools in the village secondary grammar school everyone in the village knew ewa was a bright student she was loved by all and sundry
  On a particular day, Ewa was on her way back from school and all of a sudden, a group of hooligans bumped into her and obstructed her path (sad abi) Ewa was beaten till she passed out. Hours later, there came a man, Aremu by name. Aremu is a middle-aged farmer and trader in his late 20s. Aremu on citing Ewa lying unconscious on the ground decided to help her and took her to his house. Aremu stays in a nearby village by the name Kasope village. Kasope village is just some kilometers away from Alagbagba village. Aremu took Ewa home and laid her to rest after some hours Ewa regained her consciousness but it was already late at night. Ewa wondered where she was and she was bothered her parents would be worried and be in search of her all noon Aremu explained all that happened to her and the promised to take her back to Alagbagba the next day.
 
  Aremu and Ewa set out for Alagbagba village the next day and on their way Ewa was so inquisitive to know more about Aremu the stranger who helped her and took her in to his house. She asked so many questions like: What is your name, what do you do for a living? And so on on getting to Alagbagba village, they cited an old man who told them there was a robbery in the village overnight by some hooligans from a neighbouring village and some people were injured and killed. The old man advised them to go back to where ever they were coming from because no one knows if the hooligans were going to come back or not,but Ewa insisted she was going to get home first and confirm things for herself . On getting home, there was no one at home not even a sign of clothing or other household items. Ewa was sad and terrified because she had no idea of what must have happened to her parents. After so much wailing Aremu tried to convince and persuade Ewa to follow him back to Kasope village where she would be safe till the whole situation was over. After so many hours of trekking Aremu and Ewa both arrived the village tired and hungry so Aremu decided to go into the house to get them something to eat, immediately Aremu dashed into the house and brought out Eko and Akara (bean cake) they equally divided it and ate it.
  As days rolled into weeks, Ewa kept thinking of her parents on several occasions she was lost in thoughts. On a particular day, Aremu went to the farm to get some food alas, on getting back from the farm, Ewa was no where to be found. Where could she have gone to? could she have eloped? could she have been kidnapped? or could she have gone back to Alagbagba in search of her parents? All of these questions were on Aremu’s mind.
  Now the question is where could Ewa be?
