Everything went back to normal; peace was restored to Alagbagba village likewise to the house hold of baba and mama Ewa. Ewa resumed back to school, her friends were so excited to see her, because she was one of the bright students in her class. Who would have thought ‘Jaiye Aremu’s friend had an eye on Ewa? Ever since ‘Jaiye came across Ewa at Aremu’s place in Kasope village, he fell in love with her, it was love at first sight but Ewa knew nothing about ‘Jaiye’s intention towards her.
Jaiye, is a well-known trader in Kasope Village, he traded in textile materials which he majorly sold to Kings both in Kasope, Alagbagba village and other neighboring villages. Jaiye as his name implies believed life is meant to be enjoyed because life is too short for one not to enjoy one’s self as long as you are rich and famous.
On a particular Saturday morning, Jaiye decided to go to Alagbagba village, if you’d ask me to see who? Ewa of course, Jaiye got to Alagbagba village and headed for Adekalu’s house. Adekalu is a trader, who traded majorly in royal beads and accessories popularly known as ileke Oba, Adekalu also trades both within and outside Alagbagba village. He was the reliable source Jaiye got his information from about the state of Alagbagba village and what happened to Baba and Mama Ewa. Jaiye and Adekalu on getting to Baba and mama Ewa’s house, they were told Ewa had gone to the stream to fetch water.
Hurriedly, they headed for the stream, as they got to the stream, they met Ewa. Jaiye was so excited to see her, he smiled when he got closer to her. Ewa was surprised to see him she inquired; What a surprise to see you, what have you come to do in Alagbagba? Business? Jaiye replied No I have come to see you, Me! Ewa exclaimed. I hope there is no problem? No, he replied. Then what is it you have come to do? Ewa inquired.
