Beauty Tips Ep 2 💄

 Hey guys,

My last post was about Skin types and how to care for your skin and I promised to continue in the next episode well, a lot of people have messaged me and have been asking some questions as regards my last episode.

So, people of God, the much awaited episode is here, and I hope you enjoy it. Every content in this post is by houseofqueen__, and compiled by yours truly follow @houseofqueen__ on Instagram for more of this. Enough of stories let's get down to business.

In this particular episode, we'd be talking about: Looking good even when you are not going out: Applying natural products on your skin. I believe most of us are familiar with the Aloe Vera plant, MOST OF US, have no idea how much good this plant can do for our face actually, at a point in time I was literally obsessed with this plant to the extent that I ended up planting it for my own use, plus they aren't that hard to plant and they grow fast
The major benefits Aloe has for you that you should know is:

1. IT HEALS BURNS

2. IT CLEARS ACNE

3. IT MINIMIZES SCARS

4. COMBINING IT WITH YOUR FACIAL PRODUCTS MAKES IT WORK MORE

5. IT GIVES YOU A SMOOTH FACE
*Important note about using anything unfamiliar on your face*

ALWAYS DO A PATCH TEST, that's trying something on one small part of your skin incase u react or incase you have sensitive skin or you are allergic. As a normal person, don't just use something unfamiliar on your face and not only your face this time, your skin in particular. Any product you haven't tried before, in case it doesn't sit well with you, do not use it at all.
Aloe Vera is applied on the face by:

it's literally just 3 steps 👍🏽
1. CUTTING IT OPEN

2. SCRAPING OUT THE GEL WITH A SPOON

3. APPLYING IT TO MY FACE AND LETTING IT SIT FOR 15 MINUTES

Aloe Vera can be mixed with Honey and olive oil.
P.s The reason why you may feel Aloe is itchy is if you left it on too long or in rare cases, if you are allergic.

The benefits of honey are/ have been endless 🤩
if you have sensitive skin and Aloevera doesn't work for you, these honey tips are for you
1.Honey has great replenishing properties for your skin if you have Eczema or Psoriasis.
2.The bacteria on your face can be contained by using honey which therefore makes it great for your ACNE
3.Mixing honey with cinnamon can create a good mask against bacteria on your face
4.Honey can be used for EXFOLIATION .
It can remove dead skin from your face
5.It's properties can help you to fade scars overtime

NOTE: Always do a patch test, in case you are allergic to POLLEN or CELERY

So that you won't cry in tears. 😆
DO A PATCH TEST.

HAPPY NEW YEAR: Introextroverts (Dealing with Depression).

Why is depression so common among  introverts?  This question calls to mind a Stephen Hawking quote:  “Quiet people have the loudest minds.” This is very true and most true for introverts. Introverts tend to think too much and speak too little. That natural output, the cleansing of thoughts that extroverts or ambiverts experience is not something introverts experience.  Introverts, by nature, do not have those outlets, speaking deeply and freely only with very few(very trusted people.)Since they don’t have regular outlets they harbor trapped emotions and this tends to futher lend themselves to depression symptoms. Introverts tend to be perfectionists and are usually highly self critical, which leads to overthinking. This combination of over thinking, high self criticizing and the drive for perfection can trigger low self-esteem, feelings of guilt, worthlessness, melancholy and despair. These feeling, any combination of them actually, causes introverts to engage...

THE NEW NORMAL

WHAT IS NOW OUR NEW NORMAL. As long as the world has not found a cure  for the Chinese virus(Covid-19), we may have to adjust to the “new normal”, meaning a new way of living and going about our lives, work and interactions with other people. We all have to bear it in mind that we may have to live in the “new normal” for a very long time. Now, what do we or what can we call the New Normal? The English dictionary, defines the "new normal" as the current prevailing situation in which the economy and society at large settles, after a crisis. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the term new normal has an increasing use to refer the changes of human behavior changes during or after this pandemic. This includes limiting person-to-person contact, like handshakes and hugs. Additionally, maintaining distance from others or social distancing.  'Normal' has not worked for a majority of the world's population, so why would it start working now? However, "the new normal" m...

CODE SWITCHING

Majority  or to an extent a large percentage of people "code switch". You might want to know what the term code switch mean.   Code switching is when a speaker alternates between two or more languages (or dialects or varieties of language) in one conversation.  Code switching occurs mostly in bilingual communities. Speakers of more than one language are known for their ability to code switch or mix their language during their communication. Some person's code switch within one language by mixing dialects or types of vernacular. For example, You can mix academic-speak with street-speak (pidgin).  Since its inception, the term "code switching" has expanded to encapsulate any situation in which speakers finds themselves switching from one accepted vocabulary or style, to another.  Take a look at this 🤷 you'd probably speak to an employer differently than you would address a close friend, so you might switch from casual language to professional-speaking...
