CODE SWITCHING

Majority  or to an extent a large percentage of people "code switch".
You might want to know what the term code switch mean.
Code switching is when a speaker alternates between two or more languages (or dialects or varieties of language) in one conversation.
Code switching occurs mostly in bilingual communities. Speakers of more than one language are known for their ability to code switch or mix their language during their communication. Some person's code switch within one language by mixing dialects or types of vernacular. For example, You can mix academic-speak with street-speak (pidgin).  Since its inception, the term "code switching" has expanded to encapsulate any situation in which speakers finds themselves switching from one accepted vocabulary or style, to another.
Take a look at this 🤷 you'd probably speak to an employer differently than you would address a close friend, so you might switch from casual language to professional-speaking  in the locality at which you find yourself.

There are a number of possible reasons for switching from one language to another but I would just go ahead and list a few:

🔷 To fufil a need.
🔷 To express solidarity.
🔷 To exclude others from a conversation.

Femi : My guy, how you dey?
Victor: I dey H, i wan chop. My mom prepared rice
Femi: Wetin you wan con chop. You prefer the rice?

Code-switching is becoming more  practical. While many people in the society today agree that it is a beneficial idea, some disagree. It is important to understand that people do not necessarily switch languages because they are being careless. They may have a very good reason to switch from one language to another, and this is because people respond better to what is familiar to them rather than what they would not understand at all and pretend to understand.

This is why code-switching is becoming more common throughout the world. It is important for people to feel comfortable and familiar with people around them, and code-switching is they a way to stay connected to all of these.

THE GRASS IS NOT GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE🌿🌿

Remember when you were in secondary school and all you could think about was: ‘I will be happy when I finally graduate so I can escape this hell hole and I can finally do what I want to do with my life’. Remember?    The hallmark of the “grass is greener syndrome” is the idea that there is always something better that we are missing. So rather than experiencing stability, security, and satisfaction in the present environment, the feeling is there is more and better elsewhere, and anything less than ideal won't do.   Now let's go down memory lane remember this song by the popular musician Adekunle Gold "Ire" (Goodness) in his album ABOUT 30 the song goes like this:  [Verse 1]  The Grass Is Greener On The Other Side That’s What I Thought, Before I Took The Ride I Burned My Bridges, So I’d Never Look Back But, If I Had Known The Life I Was Searching For, Was Looking Me Right In The Eye Oh If I Had Known, The Life I Was Searching For, Was Already My Own Ire N ...

I guess an average percentage of People might not know the benefits of drinking water and this is what we would focus on today.  Studies have shown that the human body is made up of about 65-70% water and so therefore, for our body to function properly and efficiently, it must be well hydrated.            ...
